# Tools

> The Cello MCP tools available to growth managers

These are the tools your AI assistant uses when you connect as a growth manager. All Cello MCP tools are currently read-only. To take action, the assistant points you to the relevant page in the [Cello Portal](https://portal.cello.so).

| Tool                        | What it does                                                                         |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `cello_get_program_metrics` | Lifetime totals, weekly/monthly trends, and industry benchmarks for your program     |
| `cello_get_referrers`       | Find referrers, filtered and sorted by engagement or performance                     |
| `cello_get_top_referrers`   | Your highest-performing referrers by net new ARR                                     |
| `cello_get_recommendations` | Prioritized best-practice recommendations across activation, sharing, and conversion |
| `search_cello`              | Search the Cello knowledge base for how-to answers                                   |
